You might have seen many status updates of your friends in facebook, which shows from which device it was updated.
For example: via iOS
Actually some people do not used real iOS device or iPhone, but it shows as they have updated a status from real iOS device as via iOS.
It's just a magic of customised status via device.
You too can create it and update status from your Status Via Device.
If your facebook account is new then you should follow this new tutorial
Follow this simple steps to create Facebook Status Via Device:
1. First of all you need to Login to your facebook account, after that go to facebook developers site
https://www.developers.facebook.com/apps
There you'll be ask to Register as a Developer, to continue just click on
Register as a Developer
After clicking on Register as a Developer you'll be ask to complete
three simple steps then you'll become a
Developer.
Finally you'll be able to Create an App.
2. Now you'll be redirected to a next page, now click on Create New App
3. After that a new pop up will appear in that you have to enter App Name, App Namespace and Select the App Category.
Note:
You don't have to provide an
App
Namespace for this simple Status Via App, if you still choose to provide an App Namespace then give an unique App Namespace for your App.
Lastly click on Continue
4. Input the Security Captcha and Click on Continue
5. Finally your App has been created, you'll see that your App is in Sandbox Mode, means Sandbox Mode is Enabled.
You need to Disabled the Sandbox Mode.
Otherwise your status updates will not be visible to your friends when you do update a status from your Status Via Device.
Lastly click on
Save Changes
6. After Disabling the Sandbox Mode you'll see a Green Dot with a message: This App is Live
7. If you want to upload the App Logo and App Icon for your App then Click on Edit, as you can see from an image below, else you can click on App Details
If you don't want to upload an App Logo and App Icon then you can skip this step and directly move on to
step 11.
8. After clicking on Edit or App Details you'll come to this page and you have to upload two Primary Icons.
One is App Icon and the other one is App Logo.
The image size required for the App Icon is 16x16 and for the App Logo is 75x75.
9. After uploading the Icon and Logo it will look like this.
Finally click on Save Changes.
10. As you can see, the App Logo has appeared on your App Dashboard.
And the App Icon will appear on Feed Dialog.
11. Now Copy your App I.D.
As you can see my App ID is
430127430448388
12. Replace Paste_Your_App_ID_Here with your App ID.

Copy and paste above url in your browser url bar and make sure you have replaced the App ID with your App ID.
Finally follow that link.
13. After following the above url, you'll get a Feed Dialog to update status (as shown in the below).
Now update some status with your Staus Via Device.
